C-DOT’s Public Data Office, to take internet to masses .                                                                           21-04-2017 The PDO creates Wi-Fi hotspots using 2G, 3G or 4G signals and connect up to 100 mobile devices at a given time in a range of 500 metres . The Union Minister for Communications Shri Manoj Sinha, said that present day telecommunication and networking is expanding its strength and voice based network are getting changed to data (Internet ) oriented networks. Speaking at the India-EU ICT Standardization conference at C-DOT here, he said that this has been possible because of the standardization of telecom equipment and interconnectivity.
